Montgomery Robbins has been deemed a winner in Hearth and Home Magazine’s Excellence in Outdoor Room Design Competition for our creation in Mt. Diablo, CA.
There are 27 winning projects out of 138 project entries from 28 states and 3 Canadian provinces, which are grouped into categories based on square footage: under 1,000 sq ft, 1,001 to 3,000 sq ft, and over 3,000 sq ft.
Our winning outdoor space was called a Modern Classic by the judges. At 3,000 square feet, the design complements the home remodel in a transitional farmhouse style. The highlight of the design is a pavilion that houses an outdoor kitchen and dining room in an all-season outdoor living space. Stonework details, wood shutters, and an antique weather vane add to the farmhouse charm, while a minimalist pool and spa with poolside seating and a fire feature make for an ultra-cool contemporary landscape.
